Parenting Through Pain (Teen Edition)

Parenting inevitably comes with difficult and painful moments. Teenagers will make poor decisions, relationships may feel strained, and the brokenness of the world can impact your family in unexpected ways. While these challenges are a normal part of parenting, take heart, there is always hope. God is with you in every season, using even the hardest moments to grow your faith and deepen your relationship with your teen.

This month, we’ve gathered resources to help you navigate those tough seasons. Be sure to check out the Parent Toolbox Resource, When Parenting Hurts by Carrie Bevell Partridge, offering encouragement and practical reminders for parents. We’re also sharing an article titled Parenting When Times Are Tough, filled with helpful steps and encouragement. You’re not alone, we’re here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Facing the challenges of Technology (Kid Edition)

Technology plays a huge role in our everyday lives—it helps us stay organized, work efficiently, and stay entertained. At the same time, it raises important questions about how our kids are interacting with it and being influenced by it. This month, we want to help you slow down, ask the right questions, and thoughtfully discern how your family should navigate technology, rather than simply following what feels normal or what everyone else is doing. Our Online Parenting Class is designed to help you think through this area with clarity and purpose.

We’re also sharing several helpful resources, including a Parent Toolbox video that addresses one of the biggest questions parents ask: When should I let my child on social media? Brian Houseman offers practical insight that gives parents a lot to consider. You’ll also find the article Technology and Your Family: Establishing Healthy Boundaries, which provides practical guidance for leading your kids well. Lastly, we’re including a video, Growing Up in a p*** Culture, that shares eye-opening research presented at a conference, Amber attended, on how inappropriate content is being pushed toward children and the long-term emotional impact this can have if safeguards aren’t in place. This is an intense topic, but one we believe parents need to be aware of.
